This project involved the demolition of an existing ground floor extension and the construction of a new double pitched roof rear extension, alongside a comprehensive internal refurbishment of this family home in West Dulwich.
The newly constructed extension forms the heart of the home, providing a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area filled with natural light. Large-format sliding glazed doors and rooflights flood the interior with daylight, while carefully considered proportions and ceiling heights create a strong sense of space and openness. The double pitched roof adds architectural character internally as well as externally, enhancing the overall feeling of volume and quality.
Internally, the house was fully refurbished with a focus on clean lines, high-quality materials, and timeless finishes. A neutral colour palette was used throughout to create a calm and cohesive interior, complemented by bespoke joinery and carefully selected lighting. Feature pendant lights and recessed spotlights were incorporated to provide layered lighting, enhancing both functionality and atmosphere.
Floor finishes were selected to ensure continuity between the existing house and the new extension, creating a seamless transition between spaces.
