This project involved the construction of a contemporary ground floor rear extension, transforming the property into a spacious and functional open plan living environment in Tooting.

The extension was carefully designed to maximise natural light and improve the connection between the interior living space and the garden. Externally, the new structure blends seamlessly with the existing property through matching brickwork, clean architectural lines, and large aluminium sliding doors, creating a modern yet sympathetic addition to the home.

Internally, the ground floor was fully reconfigured to create a bright and versatile open plan layout incorporating the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The kitchen features bespoke cabinetry, premium worktops, integrated appliances, and a central island that provides both additional preparation space and informal seating. Feature pendant lighting and under-cabinet illumination enhance the overall aesthetic while maintaining functionality.

Rooflights were installed within the extension to further enhance natural daylight penetration, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere throughout the space. High-quality flooring was laid across the entire open plan area, providing continuity and durability suitable for modern family living.

The new living and dining areas are designed to flow seamlessly into the garden through large glazed sliding doors, strengthening indoor-outdoor connectivity and creating an ideal environment for entertaining and everyday family use.

This project successfully delivers a contemporary, practical, and visually striking living space that significantly enhances both the usability and value of the property.

Design & Build Project

This was a full design and build project, with all stages delivered from initial concept through to final completion. The process began with a detailed site survey and feasibility assessment, followed by design development tailored to the client’s brief, budget, and planning requirements.
